Diti and Mizu's last film releases in 30 halls today
Prominent actress Diti and popular antagonist of Dhallywood Mizu Ahmed have left fans and loved ones in tears, when they passed away many years ago.
Parveen Sultana, commonly known by her stage name Diti, worked over 200 films in her life. She was one of the most beloved actresses in the industry. She passed away on March 20, 2017.
Mizu breathed his last on March 27, 2017. Diti and Mizu worked in the film "E Desh Tomar Amar '', directed by F I Manik. Unfortunately they couldn't witness the film released in their lifetime.
The film has been released in 30 theatres across the country. It features actors Zayed Khan and Rumana Khan in the lead, while Dipjol will be seen in a pivotal role. "E Desh Tomar Amar" received clearance from Bangladesh Film Censor Board this year.
"It is unfortunate that Diti apa and Mizu bhai are no longer with us," said Zayed Khan, actor and General Secretary of Bangladesh Film Artiste Association (BFAA).
"Although we are happy about the fact that the film has been released, we will miss them. I have learned a lot from them while working on the movie."
"The plot of the film is attractive and I am expecting the audience will respond to good work," shared F I Manik.
The director explains that the film was originally shot in 35mm, however, it has been transferred to digital, and a few other things were also pending, which is why it took this long to finish.
In 1984, Diti stepped in showbiz with the beauty pageant show, "Notun Mukher Shondhane". Although her debut film was "Dak Diye Jai '', it was never released. Her first released film was "Ami E Ostad''.
The actress was honoured with the National Film Award for her performance in Ekushey Padak Awardee Subhash Dutta directorial "Swami-Stri''.
On the other hand, Mizu's debut film was "Trishna" in 1978. He was an acclaimed antagonist in the 90s.
Some of the remarkable works of the two-time National Film Award winning actor are "Noyoner Alo", "Danga", "Trush", "Ora Amake Bhalo Hote Dilo Na", "Surrender", "Ammajaan", and "Hangor Nodir Grenade".
