Catching up with the stars after Eid
Nusrat Imrose Tisha is known to be one of the busiest artistes, especially during the Eid season. Much to the dismay of her fans, for the first time in her career, she is not appearing in any new Eid tele-fictions. Owing to a leg injury and the pandemic, Tisha has been spending most of her time at home. Nonetheless, she will host the latest season of the celebrity game show, "The Box." She has also worked on Chorki's anthology series, "Unoloukik".
"Eid is a time of happiness. I look back on my childhood memories of Eid fondly. I lost my father many years ago. I miss him very much, particularly on special occasions such as Eid. As we are battling the coronavirus crisis, I celebrated Eid at home," she says.
"I request people to stay home and stay safe. Please do not go out of the house, unless there are emergencies. Being alive is more important than any festivities," Tisha adds.
Zahid Hasan worked in several television ventures this Eid, including seven-episode serials. Additionally, he directed three Eid special shows. "I usually celebrate Eid in my hometown, Sirajganj. There have been times where I planned a trip to Sirajganj right on the night before Eid," he says. "But this time, I stayed in Dhaka for Eid, due to the restrictions induced by the pandemic. I celebrated the occasion with my wife and kids. I miss Sirajganj very much."
Purnima has gone from strength to strength, mesmerising audiences with her versatility on the silver screen throughout the years. She welcomed Eid-Ul-Azha at home with her daughter. "I cooked a feast, and got some new clothes. My daughter and I celebrated the day in a small way. I request everyone to stay cautious and follow safety measures," she says.
Similarly, Ferdous requested people to wear masks, if they decide to socialise and enjoy their Eid vacation. The actor celebrated the occasion at home by cooking a special beef dish.
Apurba did not plan any long trips for Eid. He celebrated the occasion at his Uttara residence, with his family. "I was excited to watch some Eid television shows, and spend time with a few of my close friends at home," says the actor. Apurba starred in seven to eight Eid tele-fictions this time.
