Bubly out of the big screen bubble
Bubly, primarily known as a silver-screen actress, recently made her OTT debut with Raihan Rafi directorial "Taan".
In the Chorki original, she earned praise starring opposite Siam Ahmed, being a perfect grounded foil for his 'addicted' character.
We talk to the actress about her experience, future projects, and more.
How was your experience with "Taan"?
This was the first time I shared the screen with Siam.
There were a lot of new challenges, but the experience also offered a lot to learn from. Critics and fans appreciated my effort, which makes all the effort worth it.
I now am confident that I can succeed despite challenges and look to embrace more such challenging yet notable roles.
What is your opinion about the emergence of OTT platforms?
Irrespective of the medium, a good script always manages to captivate fans.
Personally, I have always learned from every experience since I stepped into this industry. Web productions now are offering good content to its audience -- their stories are meaningful and the production quality also looks promising.
I am very interested to work on this platform, but the storyline and production quality will always guide my choices.
The Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti elections recently stirred up a lot of controversies. What are your thoughts in this regard?
The election was the talk of the town for a while, and as artistes, should note how our audience was also very keen on the matter.
We should learn to treat each other like a family, and work together. Only unity will bring about positive outcomes for this industry.
Which new releases are you looking forward to?
I am in talks for a new film, and I will disclose the details as soon as we finalise the deal. A few of my projects are also waiting for release, and I am shooting for quite a few. I wish to keep working at this pace, and am trying my best to live up to my own potential.
