Along with his engaging educational videos on math and science, Chamok Hasan's music, along with Feroza Binte Omar Bonhi, has garnered a prominent fan base on social media. A recent rendition of their popular song, "Ei Mayabi Chander Raate", picturised on Kolkata-based actor Jisshu Sengupta, took social media by storm upon release.

The song features in the upcoming film, "Baba, Baby, O…".

The movie is directed by Aritra Mukhopadhyay and produced by Windows Production House, Kolkata.

Voiced by Ikkshita Mukherjee, Hemlata Chakraborty and Chamok's first born Bornomala alongside Chamok, the lyrical video of the song has over 6 lakh views on YouTube so far.

Chamok Hasan has worked on another song for the film, and is in talks with the same production house for more projects. He shares his experience of entering into the realm of film music, and talks about his upcoming songs in a candid conversation with The Daily Star.

Shiboprosad Mukherjee, best known for his films "Bela Sheshe", "Posto", and "Kontho", got in touch with the Boston based R&D engineer Chamok through a friend who lives in Los Angeles, USA.

The story of the film is based on a single father's journey with his child and romantic counterpart. "I was sent the script first and had worked accordingly," shares Chamok.

Chamok has finished working for another film song and is looking forward to its release. "This was a great learning process. Working for a film where I had to keep the character and audience in mind was a new experience," he says. "The opportunities motivated me to research and come up with compositions that syncs with the audiences' preferences."

Bonhi and Chamok both recorded the song in a studio in LA. Rudraneel Chowdhury primarily worked on the arrangement and design of the song and the process was later joined by Amit-Ishaan.

Born in Kushtia, Chamok keeps Lalon and Tagore's music close to his heart. "My music reflects my simple upbringing and lifestyle," mentions the self-taught musician. "I enjoy my work and intend on doing it for as long as my passion for music stays with me."

Although he does not have plans to take up music full time, Chamok is showing promise in the film industry.

"I hold my country close to my heart. I am aware of the different platforms where young creators are coming up with beautiful work. I will be more than happy to collaborate with them," concludes Chamok.
