Unidentified teenage girl’s decomposed body recovered in Gazipur

Police recovered a decomposed body of an unidentified girl from a pond in Gazipur's Kashimpur area this evening.

"Locals found the girl's body in a bush by the pond at Jirani area under Kashimpur Police Station and informed us," said Mahbub-e-Khoda, officer-in-charge of the station.

"The girl is believed to be around 16-17 years-old and about half of her body was rotten and deformed. We are initially suspecting that the body was left there at least three-four days ago after she was killed," said the OC.

The body was sent to Shaheed Tazuddin Ahmad Medical College & Hospital's morgue for an autopsy. Legal action is being taken in this regard, reports our Gazipur correspondent quoting the OC.
