Two goldsmiths were injured in a gold cylinder explosion in Pilkhana area of the district town yesterday noon.

The injured are Arjun Sarker and Sujon Sarker of the area. They were admitted to Natore Sadar Hospital.

Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a gas cylinder at a goldsmith's house suddenly exploded, leaving the two injured.

They sustained injuries in hands and face, said Abdul Kalam Azad, resident medical officer of the hospital.
