8 addl judges confirmed as HC judges

President Abdul Hamid has confirmed eight additional judges of the High Court as the permanent judges of the same court division.

Their services were confirmed yesterday, according to a gazette notification of the law ministry.

The new judges are: Justice Rajik Al Jalil, Justice Bhismadeb Chakrabarti, Justice Md Selim, Justice Md Sohrawardi, Justice Khijir Ahmed Chowdhury, Justice Md Iqbal Kabir Lytton, Justice SM Mojibur Rahman, and Justice Amir Hossain.

They along with two others were appointed as additional HC judges on February 12, 2015. Of the 10 additional judges, eight judges were confirmed by the president while JN Deb Chowdhury died and the name of Md Farid Ahmed Shibli was dropped from the confirmation, a law ministry official told The Daily Star.
