Nationwide shutdown may be extended till May 5
Government might extend the ongoing nationwide shutdown until May 5, in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Public Administration Ministry Secretary Shaikh Yusuf Harun told The Daily Star that they were working to issue a gazette notification by today, extending the closure up to May 5.
"But there will be some changes in the conditions of the shutdown," he said.
The government announced closure of all public and private offices from March 26 after which all public transport services were suspended.
