Shanto-Mariam University founding chairman Imamul dies of Covid-19

Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) founding chairman and freedom fighter, Imamul Kabir Shanto, died of coronavirus at the Combined Military Hospital in the city this morning.

He was 66, family sources said.

He established Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, Sundarbans Courier Services (Pvt) Ltd and Shanto-Mariam Foundation.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque today expressed profound shock at the death of Imamul Kabir Shanto.

In a condolence message, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
