PM receives first dose of Covid-19 vaccine

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine today.

She received the vaccine this afternoon, Hasan Jahid Tusher, deputy-press secretary to the prime minister, told The Daily Star.

Sheikh Rehana, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and younger sister of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on February 24.

The vaccination drive was rolled out at five hospitals in Dhaka on January 28, and then across the country on February 7.
