30 fined for not wearing masks in Ctg

At least 30 people were fined for not wearing masks at Patenga Beach of the port city today.

A mobile court of Chattogram District Administration conducted a drive in a bid to make people follow health guidelines to remain safe in this Covid-19 pandemic, reports our Chattogram staff correspondent.

"The drive was conducted at Patenga Beach which is a popular tourist destination of the city. We fined 30 people a total of Tk 4,500 for not wearing masks and we also distributed masks to people over there," Umar Faruk, executive magistrate of the mobile court, told The Daily Star.
