Three JMB 'militants' arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) claimed to have detained three suspected members of militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Fatullah of Narayanganj on Friday night.
The detainees are Waliullah Chishti alias Abu Omar, 27, of Muradnagar in Comilla; Al Amin Sheikh Rajib, 25, of Mollarhat in Bagerhat; and Kamrul Hasan Hridoy, 35, of Debidwar in Comilla.
The three confessed that they were operatives of the Sarwar-Tamim group of the militant outfit, commanding officer Lt Col Kamrul Hasan briefed reporters at Rab-11 headquarters in Adamjee area yesterday.
On information, Rab-11 conducted a drive in Charboyragadi of Fatullah and held the trio. It also seized a foreign pistol, a revolver, five bullets, two knives, explosives, Jihadi books and leaflets, he added.
