Rigan's statement recorded
Rakibul Hasan alias Rigan, who was held wounded during a police raid in the capital's Kalyanpur, yesterday gave a confessional statement before a Dhaka court about the July 1 Gulshan café attack.
Metropolitan Magistrate Ahsan Habib recorded the statement. On September 24, police showed him arrested in the café attack case and took him on a six-day remand.
Earlier, he gave confessional statement before another court in a case filed following the July 26 Kalyanpur operation.
Rigan had passed SSC examinations in 2013 obtaining GPA-5 and later started attending classes at Retina Coaching Centre in Bogra.
On July 23 last year, he left his Bogra home telling his family that he was going to his coaching centre.
Police said Rigan's previous statement revealed that he was involved with the Gulshan café attackers.
