Shipping ministry inaugurates three maritime projects

Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan inaugurated three projects, including building of two ships, at FMC dockyard in Boalkhali upazila of Chittagong yesterday, said a press release.

While addressing the inauguration programme, he said 20 dredgers worth Tk 2,200 crore would be procured in open procurement method.

Mentionable, FMC Dockyard Ltd has got orders of a special inspector multipurpose survey vessel, a 500-seat coastal passenger vessel and 53 buoys for Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).

Among others Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin and Secretary In-Charge of shipping ministry Ashok Madhab Roy were present.
