PM’s Military Secretary Zainul Abedin passes away

Maj Gen Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin Bir Bikram, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s military secretary, passed away at a hospital in Singapore yesterday.

He breathed his last at Mount Elizabeth Hospital at 5:15pm (local time), said Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed her deep shock at the death of Major General Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin.

In a condolence message, the prime minister said Zainul Abedin discharged his duties with honesty and sincerity.

He served at different important positions of the state efficiently and he will be remembered for his patriotism and dutifulness, the prime minister said.

Sheikh Hasina also sought eternal peace of the departed soul and extended sympathy to the bereaved family members.
