India gives automatic sanitiser dispenser to Rajshahi's main mosque
Assistant High Commission of India in Rajshahi today installed an automatic hand sanitiser dispenser at the city's main mosque -- Shaheb Bazar Boro Masjid -- for helping mosque-goers follow Covid-19 protocols.
Sanjeev Kumar Bhati, the assistant high commissioner, described it as a "gift from the Indian people" while inaugurating the use of the touchless sanitiser dispenser in a brief programme.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abu Kalam Siddique and the mosque governing body president Tozammel Haque Chowdhury attended the inauguration function, among others.
An official said, the assistant high commission is due to install another automatic hand sanitising machine at Varendra Research Museum in the city soon.
They installed one at Dinajpur Press Club last week, he said.
