CJ reaches Japan to attend conference of chief justices
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha yesterday reached Japan to attend a conference of chief justices of Asia and the Pacific.
He will return to the country on September 23, Mohammad Anisur Rahman, personal secretary to the CJ, told The Daily Star.
SK Sinha left for Canada on September 8 to see his ailing daughter. He left Canada on September 17 for Japan to attend the conference slated for September 18 to September 22.
Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah, a senior judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, is discharging the responsibility of chief justice during the absence of Sinha.
