Bangabandhu trust bill passed
The House last night passed in voice vote “Bangabandhu Science and Technology Fellowship Trust Bill, 2016”.
With its head office in Dhaka, the trust will have a 13-member trustee board headed by either the minister or the state minister.
Other members include the secretary, one representative each from the information and communication technology, education and public administration ministries, cabinet, finance and legislative and parliamentary affairs division, BCSIR, and UGC, and two public university science professors nominated by the government.
“The Chittagong Medical University Bill, 2016” and “Rajshahi Medical University Bill, 2016” were also placed.
