33 promoted to addl DIG

The government has promoted 33 police officials to the rank of additional deputy inspector general (additional DIGs), said a home ministry circular issued yesterday.

The officials are Rezaul Karim, special superintendent of police (SP) of CID; Harun-or Rashid, deputy commissioner (DC) of DMP; Sheikh Nazmul Alam, DC, DMP; Gazi Mozammel Hoque, assistant inspector general (AIG) of police headquarters (PHQ); Ashrafuzzaman, DC, DMP; AZM Nafiul Islam, SS SP of special branch (SB); Abul Foyez, DC, DMP; SM Akteruzzaman, AIG, PHQ; Imam Hossain, DC, DMP; Amena Begum, SP, Narsingdi; Haydher Ali Khan, SP of SPBN; Monirul Islam, AIG, PHQ; Azad Mia, SS SP of SB; Mahbubur Rahman Bhuyan, AIG, PHQ; Atika Islam, DC, DMP; Ruhul Amin, AIG, PHQ; Basudeb Banik, DC of SMP; Sujayet Islam, DC of CMP; Mozammel Hoque, DC, DMP; Rafiqul Hasan Goni, SP, Sherpur; Mahfuzur Rahman, SP, Manikganj; Rezaul Hoque, AIG, PHQ; Monir Hossain, additional director of National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre; AKM Nahidul Islam, DC of RMP; Md Moniruzzaman, AIG, PHQ; Mizanur Rahman, SP, Brahmanbaria; Munibur Rahman, SP, Magura; Poritosh Ghosh, SP, Highway Police Comilla; Sardar Rakibul Islam, SP, Narail; Md Majid Ali, SP, PBI; Joydeb Kumar, DC, DMP; Kazi Zia Uddin, AIG, PHQ; and Asaduzzaman, SP, Bogra.
