The era of bulky, geeky-looking smart glasses is over. Developers in Finland have created a credit-card-thin display that pops into any eyeglass frame.

The genius smartglass device is so much cooler than google glass, reports Tech Insider. Developers in Finland created a thin smartglass device that fits into normal eyewear. It's just 1 mm thick and pops into any eyeglass frame. It displays an image that looks like a 60-inch TV seen from 10 feet away. And it's so much more fashionable than bulky google glass.

There's no software yet. But developers hope to first target the sports and exercise industry by displaying pulse rates and activity data directly onto sports glasses. The company says the product might be available to the public within a year.
