Southeast Bank approves 10% dividend for 2025
Southeast Bank PLC has approved a 10 percent dividend, including a 3 percent cash dividend, for the year that ended on December 31, 2025.
The approval was given at the bank’s 9th extraordinary general meeting (EGM) and 31st annual general meeting (AGM), which were held virtually simultaneously recently, according to a press release.
MA Kashem, chairman of the bank, presided over the meetings as the chief guest and expressed his sincere appreciation for the shareholders’ continued cooperation and active support in ensuring the bank’s sustainable growth.
He assured the shareholders that their valuable suggestions would be implemented gradually to further strengthen the bank’s brand image and enhance the overall efficiency, performance, and long-term sustainability of its operations.
Rehana Rahman, vice-chairperson of the bank; Jusna Ara Kashem, Duluma Ahmed, Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Nur Nahar Tarin and Md Rafiqul Islam, directors; Khandker Badrul Hassan, director and chairman of the risk management committee; M Moyeen Alam Firozee, independent director and chairman of the audit committee; and Nurjahan Begum, independent director, joined the meetings.
Md Khalid Mahmood Khan, managing director and CEO, welcomed shareholders participating through the digital platform at the 9th extraordinary general meeting and the 31st annual general meeting.
Highlighting the bank’s operational performance in 2025, he also presented its future plans and strategic initiatives, which are expected to enhance operational efficiency and improve asset quality.
A large number of shareholders participated virtually from across the country. They approved the special resolution to increase the bank’s authorised capital from Tk 1,500 crore to Tk 2,000 crore, along with the proposed amendments to Clause V of the memorandum of association and Article 4(a) of the Articles of Association.
The bank earned an operating profit of Tk 1,197.84 crore in 2025 (consolidated).
As on December 31, 2025 the bank’s total deposits amounted to Tk 43,923.49 crore and its total assets reached Tk 55,442.45 crore, earning per share was Tk 2.51 (consolidated), net asset value per share was Tk 25.74.
Mamunur Rashid, company secretary, was also present at the meetings alongside the bank’s sponsors and senior officials.
