Stocks rebound in morning trade

Stocks posted gains in early trading today, rebounding from the losses of the previous two sessions.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse, gained 10.97 points, or 0.22 percent, to 4,787.30 as of 11:30 am.
The Shariah-compliant DSES index increased 0.35 percent to 1,045.66, while the DS30, which represents blue-chip stocks, was up 0.07 percent to 1,773.39.
Turnover, a key indicator of market activity, stood at Tk 105.01 crore during the session.
Of the issues traded, 209 advanced, 84 declined, and 81 remained unchanged.
Fu Wang Food posted the highest gain, rising 10 percent, while Midland Bank registered the biggest loss, dropping 7 percent.
