Stocks fall in early trading

The prime indices of the Dhaka and Chattogram bourses fell in the morning session today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), edged down 3 points, or 0.05 per cent, to 6,224 at 11:36 am.

Turnover stood at Tk 104 crore.

Of the securities, 23 advanced, 125 declined and 105 remained unchanged.

The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, lost 9 points, or 0.05 per cent, to 18,374.

Of the issues, 9 rose, 26 retreated, and 16 saw no price movement.
