DSE inches up, CSE trades flat

The prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose slightly in the morning trade today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the top bourse in Bangladesh, edged up 5 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 6,221 at 11:45 am.

Turnover stood at Tk 227 crore.

Of the securities, 56 advanced, 47 declined and 172 remained unchanged.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange was almost flat in the first session as the Caspi, the all-share price index of the port city bourse, rose 0.2 points, or 0.001 per cent, to 18,341.

Of the issues, 19 rose, 24 retreated, and 30 saw no price movement.

Turnover of the port city bourse stood at Tk 1.2 crore at 11:45 am.
