NRBC Bank gets 'PCI DSS' certification

NRBC Bank PLC has achieved the certification of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 3.2.1.

The certification ensures that the storage, processing and transmission of card and customer data is now more secure and in line with international standards.

Moshiul Islam, chief executive officer of Enterprise Infosec Consultants (EIC), handed over the certificate to Golam Awlia, managing director and CEO of the bank, in a certificate handover ceremony at the latter's head office in Gulshan yesterday, said a press release.

EIC, one of the leading IT security services providers in the country, has coordinated procedural support for the certification process under the International PCI Council.

SM Parvez Tamal, chairman of the bank, attended the programme as chief guest.

Among others, AM Saidur Rahman and Loquit Ullah, directors of the bank, Air Chief Marshal (retd) Abu Esrar, independent director, Md Rabiul Islam, deputy managing director, Didarul Haque Miah, head of ICT, and Md Jahangir Alam, chief operating officer of EIC, were present.
