Bomb attack on BNP leader's house
Extortionists hurled two bombs at a BNP leader's house at Pikepur village in Daulatpur upazila early yesterday.
Mohsin Ali, organising secretary of Daulatpur upazila unit of BNP, filed a general Diary (GD) with the local police station in this regard.
In his GD, Mohsin stated that a local gang demanded Tk 2 lakh from him through mobile phone on May 3. “They launched the bomb attack as I refused to pay heed to their demand,” Mohsin said.
Enamul Haq, officer-in-charge (OC) of Daulatpur Police Station, said criminals threw two bombs on Mohsin's house at around 3:30am.
The bombs partially damaged the wall and a window of the house. Mohsin and his family members were asleep during the incident. No causality was, however, reported.
