Four killed in Bogura road accident

Four people were killed today when a bus heading to Bogura from Dhaka hit a CNG-run autorickshaw from behind the Majhira check-post area in Shajahanpur upazila.
The accident took place around 5:30am today, Shahjahanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdullah Al Mamun and Inspector Baniul Anam of Sherpur Highway Police Camp confirmed to The Daily Star.
The bodies have been kept at the Sherpur Highway Police Camp, reports our Bogura correspondent.
Of the four killed, two have been identified so far. They are autorickshaw driver Shahjamal (34) of Anarpur village in Shajahanpur upazila, Kalidas (72) of Demjani area in the same upazila.
"CNGs are not allowed on the highway during the morning, they carry passengers while taking gas. The CNG driver slowed down seeing the check-post but the bus behind may not have been able to brake in time, hence the accident, said Baniul.
The bus driver and his assistant fled the office, he said.
