Workers Party, JSD, Bikalpa Dhara to vie polls with ‘boat’ symbol

Ruling Awami League (AL) granted 15 candidates of its six alliance components to compete the upcoming parliamentary election with its electoral symbol “boat”.

Of those, five candidates are from the Workers Party, three from JSD (Inu), three from Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB), two from Jatiya Party (JP Manju), one from Tariqat Federation and one from Sharif Nurul Ambia-led Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD).

However, all contenders of HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party will contest the general election with their electoral symbol “plough”, Quader said.
