Raising a generation of artistes
Familial support is key for talents to flourish, and in many cases, legends have given way to their kids to match their legacy. The cultural traditions of Bangladesh have been preserved and nurtured over generations, and led to the birth of new artistic ideals. In the world of theatre, the names Ferdousi Majumdar and Ramendu Majumdar stand out like shining beacons. Their daughter, Tropa Majumdar is a celebrated thespian and TV actor, holding the torch passed down by her parents.
Another widely celebrated couple from the same world is Sara Zaker and Aly Zaker. Their son, Iresh Zaker, has carved a space for himself in the acting industry. Similarly, TV actor Hridi Haque is active on stage, a space made familiar to her by her parents, Dr Enamul Haque and Lucky Enam.

Abul Hayat has been a treasured face on the small and big screen. His daughter, Bipasha Hayat reigned over the television industry in the '90s with her acting prowess. Her sister, Natasha Hayat has also marked her presence on the small screen for a while.
