Mou and Kalyan in Shopner Moto Din

The streets were already packed on a part of Uttara at midday, with traffic from a nearby school and a college. A white car stopped by, and from it emerged Sadia Islam Mou and Kalyan Corraya, filming for an Eid special TV play, “Shopner Moto Din”. 

Students and their guardians curiously gazed at the celebrities, as director Alvi Ahmed joined them to explain the scene. A shot was done amid the growing crowd. Mou and Corraya got into the car to film another scene. In the meantime, the car, driven by Kalyan, kept roaming around the streets of Uttara. 

About an hour later, the cast and crew of the TV play went to a shooting house to film rest of the scenes. Between the preparation break, Kalyan and Mou talked to The Daily Star about the play. 

 “The title of the play might sound like a love story, but it is not. The play has a different twist,” said Kalyan. About his co-star, he said “I have worked with her in perviously and it is always fun to work with her.”

Mou added, “Kalyan is undoubtedly a good actor. Plus the play itself is very interesting. Vieweres have to stick till the 

end to know what happens”. 

“Shopner Moto Idn” will air on SATV this Eid.
