Five singers, one Eid drama

Singer

On September 4 at Shopnil Three, a shooting house in the capital's Uttara, actors gathered to prepare for filming a TV play titled “Srabon Eshechilo Gaan Hoye,” directed by Arif Khan and scripted by Faria Hossain. However, the cast had one trait in common – they were all professional singers.

Upon arrival, director Arif Khan was seen absorbed in front of a monitor. Porshi was poised and ready to deliver a dialogue, struggling hard to not break into laughter and smiles during each take. After her scene was done, Dolly Shayontini emerged before the camera for an emotional scene in her first ever acting role. Her performance generated much applause from the filming unit. After this she joined Porshi in the makeup room, and was later joined by Shithi Saha and Mehrab. The singers were waiting for Agun to arrive, who was held up by traffic. Upon his arrival on the set, the five singers gathered in front of the camera to shoot a scene together. The crew worked incessantly even as the hours ticked by.

The director said the TV play will be aired by ntv during Eid. Shuvro Dev is also a member of the cast, but had to finish filming a week early, before leaving for the United States.
