TISHA'S 'PHOENIX' takes off today
Nusrat Imrose Tisha, who has garnered landmark popularity with her remarkable performances both on television and the silver screen, will be seen in Chabial's telefilm, Phoenix, helmed by Redoan Rony. It is presented by Bhalobashar Bangladesh, a campaign which shows the positive sides of Bangladesh from the perspective of the Bangladeshi youth to help people reignite their patriotism. Phoenix will air on Maasranga Television, SA TV, Nagorik TV and ETV at 8 pm tonight. Ahead of the release, Tisha talks about working on the telefilm and more.
What kind of themes does the telefilm, 'Phoenix', touch upon?
I cannot reveal too much, but I can say that Phoenix is about the ups and downs we face as human beings in our everyday lives. It is a character-driven story that shows how, even after losing something, we can emerge victorious at the end of the day.
How does the title, 'Phoenix' relate to the story of the telefilm?
According to historical accounts, a phoenix is a legendary bird that burned itself to ashes on a pyre, and rose alive from the ashes to live another period. Bearing that in mind, in the telefilm, we have portrayed how human beings can wither away as well, but when the time comes, they can rise to the occasion.
How was the overall experience of teaming up with Redoan Rony for this project?
This is my second collaboration with Redoan Rony. He is one director who brings out the best in any actor. He puts so much hard work and dedication behind everything he does, and I think that is commendable. I had a great time shooting for Phoenix.
'Phoenix' will be aired on four different channels tonight. Are you nervous or excited about its release?
I am thrilled about its release. I have previously worked on a television project that was televised on many channels at the same time on the same day – I believe that this is a really smart pattern of presenting a programme to the audience. I hope that our telefilm is well received by the viewers.
How are the preparations going for your upcoming film, 'Bobaa Rohossho'?
I am currently doing all the homework on my character in Bobaa Rohossho, and really focusing on the getting into the skin of the role. We will start the shooting of the film sometime in January 2019.
