Mishti Maria talks Eid projects
Promising actor, model and anchor Mishti Maria is gearing up for the television premieres of two of her films, Aloy Bhubon Bhora, directed by Aminul Islam and Bhalobashar Uttap, directed by Shahidul Alam Sachhu, on Channel i, on Eid-ul-Fitr. She also received the Citi-Ananda Alo Literary Award for her only novel. In a recent chat with The Daily Star, she gets candid about her Eid projects, career plans and more.
How was the experience of working on Aloy Bhubon Bhora and Bhalobashar Uttap?
Working on Aloy Bhubon Bhora and Bhalobashar Uttap was a creatively satisfying experience. I feel very fortunate to be a part of these films.
What other projects are you currently busy with?
I am working the films Manush Keno Omanush, directed by Ahmed Ilias and Kobe Hobe Dekha, directed by the late Shahed Chowdhury.
You are a fantastic dancer as well. What role does dancing play in your life?
I developed a knack for dancing from a really young age. I took courses at Shilpakala Academy. My skills as a dancer are proving to be quite useful these days, especially when I am shooting film songs.
How would you define your aspirations as an actor?
I believe that I am a confident and hardworking artiste. In the long run, I want to let my work speak for itself, and to that end, I hope to be remembered for good work.
