Keeping up with Apurba
Popular actor Apurba has added significant milestones to his career over the years. Currently, he is keeping busy with a handful of television projects. In an interview with The Daily Star, he speaks about his latest ventures and more.
What are you currently busy with?
Recently, I took up three TV serials and a one-hour tele-fiction. I enjoy working in the television industry.
Could you elaborate a bit more on your current projects?
Ghore Baire, a serial on Maasranga Television, is directed by Nazrul Islam Babu. Priyo Protibeshi, televised on Channel i, is directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud. I am working on two shows for BanglaVision. These include Jaygir Master, directed by S A Haque Olike and Tomar Golpe Ami, directed by Jakaria Showkhin.
Out of the four TV serials, which one did you like working on the most?
Each of the stories are different from one another. I am glad that the audience are appreciating the serials. So, it is tough to pick one. However, if I had to choose, I would say Ghore Baire, as the story and my character really resonated with me. My character on the show works for underprivileged children. The story revolves around a shelter home.
You have been working in the industry for 12 years, and you have experimented with various roles. What would be your dream role?
I would love to play Amit from Shesher Kobita by Rabindranath Tagore. It is one of my dream roles.
