Celebrated actor Ferdous has impressed one and all with his performances in films in Bangladesh and India. On a candid chat with The Daily Star, the actor talked about his upcoming ventures, as he is planning to resume work after a break of six months.
You are scheduled to join Noyeem Imtiaz Neamul's film 'Gangchil' soon. How do you feel about going back to work?
I took a break from shooting for six months because of the current pandemic, but several actors and directors resumed shooting quite some time ago. Shooting romantic scenes will be challenging while maintaining social distance. I am not sure if we will be able to execute them to the full effect. The director has asked me to join the shoots, but I am still in a dilemma about how to proceed. At the end of the day, I will have to come back home to my wife and two children, and I am worried about their safety as well.
How are you spending time in this pandemic?
I have been spending a lot of time with my family. I have been watching films, reading books and listening to music. The pandemic has taught us a lot about how we should lead our lives and protect our planet. We need to be brave and hopeful in this battle.
What are the recent projects you worked on?
Aside from Gangchil, I am looking forward to completing Jam, Beauty Circus, Kathgoray Sharatchandra and Jodi Ektu Shomoy Petam. I plan to start shooting for the film Chottola Express, once the pandemic subsides.
