Chit-chat with Noble

Noble is not only celebrated as a model, but as a style icon in Bangladeshi media. He has been modeling for years now, and sometimes is also seen in select tele-fictions. After a two year long hiatus, Noble is back on the small screen. This show is scheduled to air during Eid-ul-Adha next month. We met with him to chat about his recent projects.

You’ve worked in a new television show after two years. How do you feel?

I am actually feeling really great about it. It’s a shame that I don’t get enough time to act anymore, as I am usually busy with office work. During the weekends, when I don’t have work, I try to spend time with the kids. After failing to make time last year, I finally took upon a project this time. We’ve only done shooting for one day so far, and I’m looking forward to completing it.

Do you feel like you have been missed on the small screen?

I guess so. When I am travelling abroad, people at the customs ask me why I haven’t been doing TV shows lately. When I meet Bangladeshis outside of the country, they ask the same question. It is endearing to know that people miss seeing me on TV.

What kind of role are you playing on the TV show you’re shooting?

The show’s name is Ahankar, and it’s directed by Sheikh Selim. You will see me in a brooding character, who is incredibly arrogant. He is also a workaholic. The story will show the pitfall of a prideful man. I really like the story and the character I am playing, even though I am nothing like that in real life.

What has it been like working alongside another popular model, Shokh?

I have worked with her before and I can say she is a very sincere and professional actor.

Are we going to see you in any other TV shows this Eid?

No, I really could not make the time to take more television projects. However, I will be working on a new television advertisement. Sadia Islam Mou will be my co-star in that campaign. This ad will be out very soon as well.

What are your thoughts on the new generation of directors?

Some of them are doing great work in the industry. The last television show I did two years ago was also directed by someone young and new. The upcoming one is also being led by a young director, and I am sure that he will do a good job.
