Celebrities releasing books at this year’s Ekushey Boi Mela
Every year at the Ekushey Boi Mela, several celebrities showcase their writing talents with their own books. This year, too, many of them are busy with promoting their books and interacting with their fans.
Ekushey Padak winning actor Abul Hayat has two books at the Boi Mela this year. His fiction book, "Shopner Brishti" and "Duto Moncho Natok", about two theatre plays was published by Priyo Bangla Prokashon.
Renowned actor and Ekushey Padak winner Sujata is busy with the release of three new books this year. They include "Meghla Akash", "Rupbaner Kotha" and her autobiography.
Renowned singer and actor Tahsan Khan's first book, "Onubhutir Obhidhan" will be available at the Ekushey Boi Mela. Published by Addhayan Prokashoni, the book features anecdotes from the artiste's own life.
"Ojagotik Chhaya" by actor Kusum Sikder is published by Tamrolipi. This is Kusum's second fiction book.
This year, Ashna Habib Bhabna will be releasing "Rastar Dhare Gachtir Kono Dhormo Chilo Na", her first ever poetry book.
Lux Superstar and actor Shanu released two of her books at the Ekushey Boi Mela this year. Her books, "Iti Meghbalok" by Tamrolipi and "Amar Ekta Tui Chai" by Anannya Prokashon are available at the fair.
"Ek Shilposhottar Bebocched Ebong Tar Atmojibonir Bhognangsho" by singer Sajia Sultana Putul hit the stalls on the first day of the fair. Putul has been a regular writer at the fair for the last couple of years.
Another popular singer, Muhin of Close Up One fame, will make his debut as a writer with his poetry book, "Tumi Shundor" at the Boi Mela.
Rafiath Rashid Mithila's children's book series, "Ayra aar Maaer Obhijaan" was launched at the fair with "Tanzaniar Dipe". The series is published by Light of Hope.
Another Boi Mela release, "Jamini", a novel by director Animesh Aich is published by Tamrolipi.
