Chadwick Boseman to host SNL
Chadwick Boseman, who has taken the world by storm with the box-office crushing “Black Panther”, is now will host Saturday Night Live this coming month.
After inspiring tears of joy in movies theatres, Boseman will soon have a chance to make a live studio audience cry with scripted comedy, according to Screen Rant.
Last weekend, “Black Panther” crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office, and over this weekend held its position at the top of the domestic box office for its fifth straight week.
As reported by TV Line, NBC announced Boseman as an upcoming host in the last broadcast. Boseman will host the April 7 show at Studio 8H, with musician Cardi B set to perform as well.
On Twitter, the Marvel star acknowledged his upcoming SNL gig.
Boseman first appeared on network television in 2003 with a role on NBC's “Third Watch”. Through 2011, he further developed his performance skills on the small screen, with his last TV roles coming in 2011 on “Castle” and “Detroit 1-8-7”, along with a guest spot onFox's “Fringe”.
