Siam Ahmed talks upcoming ventures
Reports claim that you will be acting in a new film titled Shopnobaji. How is the project coming along?
I will be, indeed. Shopnobaji will be directed by Raihan Rafi. I have discussed the story and my character with the director, but have not signed a contract yet. I am looking forward to working on this project. Raihan Rafi was the first director I worked with on a film. I am confident that this film will be something spectacular, and challenging for me at the same time. Shopnobaji will boast an all-star cast.
You are currently filming for a movie titled Shaan. How far along is that project?
We have completed nearly 60 percent of the shooting for Shaan. The film is directed by M Rahim and carries an important social message. I am playing the titular role of a young boy who works in the Special Branch of the law enforcement agency and aspires to do something for his country.
What are you filming for in Cox’s Bazar?
We are filming for Bishwa Shundori at a beach here. My character’s name in this film is Shadhin. I am enjoying the whole process so far.
What has the experience been like working with Pori Moni?
Pori Moni is quite organised when it comes to her work. She is immensely passionate about acting. I did not expect to have such an instant chemistry with her. It has been a wonderful experience. We are looking forward to present the audience with something new in this project.
What are your future plans, in regards to your career?
My only plan is to keep doing good work. I want to choose the right projects and work on things that challenge me. At the end of the day, the good films are the ones that resonate with the audience.
