Bangladesh Cultural Festival in full swing

The maiden Bangladesh Cultural Festival, being held at the Nandanmancha of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), is now in full swing. With participation of a large number of artistes and audience alike, the 18-day festival was inaugurated on January 1 and will end on January 18. 

Artistes from all District Shilpakala Academy (DSA) are taking part in it. A troupe from every district is performing choral and solo songs, group dance, recitation, and showcasing the native cultural performance of that district in an hour long cultural show, starting everyday from 4:30pm.        

On January 7, artistes of four DSA – Chandpur, Dinajpur, Barguna and Manikganj -- performed patriotic songs, traditional folk songs and dances. Artistes of Chuadanga, Jamalpur, Sunamganj and Narayanganj presented their respective cultural heritages yesterday at the venue. Today, artistes of Rangamati, Satkhira, Nilphamari and Sherpur will perform.
