AL, BNP men torch each other’s offices in Pirojpur

Awami League activists allegedly set fire to a BNP office hours after an AL office was torched in Pirojpur town today.
Miscreants torched the district unit office of AL on Sadar Road around 3:40am, reports out Pirojpur correspondent quoting Abu Ashraf, additional superintendent of police in Pirojpur.
Putting the blame on the main opposition party, around 150 AL men set aflame the BNP district unit office on Post Office Road around 10:00am, the police official said.
The AL men also assaulted three local photojournalists who were trying to take a snap, witnesses said.
The office was burnt to ashes as the AL men barred the firefighters from reaching the spot immediately.
Denying his party's involvement with the arson attack on AL office, district BNP Secretary General Alamgir Hossain claimed that it was a pre-planned attack on their party office.
Md Akram Hossain, president of district AL, alleged that the BNP men set fire to their own office to blame the ruling party activists.
