SSC, HSC examinees likely to attend 4 classes each day
Examinees of SSC and HSC are likely to attend four classes of two subjects' each day when in-person classes resume on September 12, according to Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).
The students of class VI will attend classes on Monday, students of class VII will attend classes on Tuesday, class VIII on Wednesday and class IX students will attends on Thursday, top DSHE officials told The Daily Star today.
The draft routine was discussed at an online meeting between head teachers of schools and DSHE top officials today.
DSHE Director (College and Administration) Professor Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury said that they have discussed about class routine and it will be finalised and circulated to everyone within a day or two.
On September 5, government decided that examinees of PECE, SSC and HSC will have to attend in-person classes every week day while the rest of the students will go to school once a week after schools and colleges reopen on September 12.
However, students of pre-primary sections like playgroup and nursery will not have to return to classrooms right now.
Educational institutions were closed across the country on March 17 last year to curb the spread of Covid-19.
