Workshop on Standard Bangla Pronunciation

Standard pronunciation is like an identity card to enter a civilized society. Actually proper articulation is one of the essential ingredients to expose the personality of an individual in the society. Correctly pronounced and beautifully expressed mother tongue doesn't only attain respect; it also acts like a prime catalyst to establish its conscious user's life as a successful human being, as a winner.  In the infra-structure of language, fundamental component is 'meaningful sound'.
In our country Govt. initiative is not adequate to get rid of colloquial mistakes. This deficiency is making our young generation upset. At present 24 TV channels & 14 Radio channels are in active mode in Bangladesh. Recently 13 TV more channels have got permission to open. In this crucial moment Prothom-alojobs is organizing an exclusive training program by prominent and expert professionals, focused on Standard Bengali Pronunciation, News & Program Presentation in Radio & Television.
Who can Participate: University students, suitable personnel of Private Radio and Television stations and freelancers can be a part of the training program. For freelancers at least a graduation degree from any recognized university is required, but preference will be given to Masters Degree holders. Selection will be made by an Interview Board.
Course Fee: Tk. 6000.00 (Taka six thousand) only per participant payable by cash. This 4 weeks training program course is held every month.
Contents of Course: Duties and responsibilities of Radio and TV presenter, Rules for pronunciation of alphabets, capture of sound and rules for writing script and announcement sheet, mode of talking, inclination, breathing and pause, recording of programme and classroom exercises and evaluation.
Method: Several methods are followed in order to make the participants competent in the job sector. Classroom lectures, participatory exercises in the classroom, classroom practices, use of multimedia, discussions, question and answer sessions.
This program is very appropriate for people who want to make their carrier as a Radio & Television Broadcaster. After successful completion of the course, the participants will be able to increase their knowledge, efficiency and expertise on programme presentation and news broadcasting and improve their way of self presentation. They will also gain confidence in their respective fields and make their presentation artistic and attractive to the audience. The second batch's course will be start on 15th of January 2014, Monday & Wednesday of every week.
