Scholastica stages ‘Moana’
Recently, the members of the Dance Drama and Music Programmes and Club of Scholastica (senior campus), staged their annual play, Moana, at their STM Hall in the Mirpur campus. A welcoming speech was delivered by Farah S Ahmed, Senior Vice Principal and Head of Section, Scholastica.
She welcomed the audience and also provided an insight into the story the strong-willed girl, Moana. "The show is a display of talent and teamwork. I hope my students keep performing as a team and learn to work together," she said.
Dr Adbun Noor Tushar, CEO, Nagorik Television, attended the event as the chief guest. In his speech, he highlighted how Moana's voyage displays her willpower and various other themes and traits. He also spoke about the importance of knowing our own history.
The students expressed their gratitude to him, presenting him with flowers and an award.
The play was directed by Subarna Sharmin and Sanuara Janah and performed by the students of Grades I to V. Wazna Chowdhury, Mir Madrur Hussain, Sanja Ibnat, Syed Yazdi Taz, and Farheen Ilma Chowdhury were seen in the lead roles and they had a brilliant live orchestra supporting them.
This musical production came to an end with Moana restoring the heart of Te Fiti.
