3rd Laboratorians’ National English Carnival 2019 concludes

English Club of the Laboratorians, Government Laboratory High School Dhaka, hosted their 3rd Laboratorians' National English Carnival 2019 from March 8-10, at their Dhanmondi campus with the motto 'Join the Revolution'. Over 4000 participants from more than 230 institutions participated in the 3-day event to showcase their revolutionary ideas and achievements.
The closing ceremony, presided over by Afridi Alam Polock, was held on the last day and Md Muazzam Hossain Mollah, Principal, Dhaka College, attended the occasion as the chief guest. Appreciating the effort, Md Muazzam Hossain Mollah mentioned the necessity of such initiatives and simultaneously asserted on the importance of Bangla saying, "To cope with the modern world, we must learn English. But we should always prioritise our mother language first."
Participation in four categories -- Junior (Grade 6 - 8), Senior (Grade 9 - 10), Intermediate (College Level), and Professionals (University Level) -- were set at this carnival. 22 events, namely English Olympiad, Effective Criticism, Grammar Nazi, Intensive Reading, Situational Writing, Anagrams, Extempore Speech, The Observer, Briefing, Recitation, The Listener, Connecting Incidents, Master Speller, Mega Quiz, Marvel and Dc Quest, Anime Quiz, Wall Magazine, Scrap Book, Instant Story Writing, Photography Exhibition were facilitated this year, anticipating a full pack arrangement of premium festival experience for the cultivators of English language.
The carnival ended with a prize-giving ceremony in the presence of the chief guest, moderators Md Sikandar Ali Khan and Mohammad Solayman, participants, and students.
