Festival of colours
Holi, also known as the festival of colours, is a spring festival and perhaps the happiest and most colourful religious festival for Hindus, which commemorates the victory of good over evil. In recent times, this joyous event has become popular among all Bangladeshis, regardless of religion. It is a two-day celebration, starting on the last day of Phalgun, that continues till the next day. People spend the day splashing coloured water at each other, smearing their faces with coloured powder, out on the streets, celebrating together.
