Life and contribution of Mahmud Shah Qureshi

Professor Mahmud Shah Qureshi, a renowned educationist of Bangladesh, made significant contributions to the field through his teaching at various universities and his role in establishing the esteemed learning centre, IBS.

His research in France during the 1960s on Bengali Muslim literary contributions, which were relatively unknown at the time, gained him recognition. He had the privilege of interacting with many distinguished national and international personalities.

He also played an active role in the 1971 liberation war and served as the Director General of the Bangla Academy. Recently, Star Insight had the opportunity to interview him and learn about lesser-known aspects of his life.
