Butthan Co-Competition held at Rajshahi
The two-day long Mujib Year 14th National Butthan Co-Competition 2020 came to an end today at Rajshahi Engineers Institute Sports Ground.
Butthan is a combat sports known as a system of self-defense and personal development with South Asian heritage. Butthan was included as a form of combat sports by National Sports Council (NSC), Ministry of Youth and Sports, Bangladesh in 2013.
Butthan practitioners from 29 districts participated the competition, held in seven weight divisions. The program consisted of free hand-to-hand combat events along with Butthan weapon forms and lathi khela.
World-record holder and internationally acclaimed Grand Master Acharya Yuree Vajramunee was present during the competition. Yuree is known for his inspirational Janaism philosophy.
