Faldo Series underway

The Bangladesh chapter of the Faldo Series Golf Championship got underway at the Kurmitola Golf Club yesterday. The three-day event is being held for the fifth time in Bangladesh, and it will select four junior golfers for the Asian Grand Final to be held in Vietnam in March next year.

The champions of the boys' under-16 group, under-18 group, under-21 group and girls' under-21 group will represent Bangladesh in the final round. A total of 79 junior golfers are taking part in the event.

Set up by famous golfer Nick Faldo, the Faldo Series is the biggest golf tour for junior golfers, with its reach in 40 countries around the world.
