Oman thrash Bangladesh

Bangladesh suffered a 4-1 hammering against Oman during their fourth match of the World Cup qualifiers at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat today.

After going into the half time with the scores level, Bangladesh conceded minutes into the second half when Oman forward Mohsin Al Khaldi converted with a left footed shot from a cross in the 48th minute. Oman doubled their lead in the 68th minute when Al Mandhar Al Alawi tapped in home after Bangladesh goalkeeper failed to grab a cross coming from the right flank.

The game was all but over when Oman extended their lead in the 78th minute, courtesy of a strike from substitute Arshad Said Al Alwai.

Bangladesh however pulled one back through a Biplu Ahmed strike when the midfielder scored with an angular shot in the 80th minute before Oman forward Amran Said Al Hidi scored the final goal of the game in the 90th minute.
